The United States is now the largest global crude oil producer Source:  U.S. Energy Information Administration,  Short-Term Energy Outlook The United States likely surpassed Russia and Saudi Arabia to become the world’s largest crude oil producer earlier this year, based on preliminary estimates in EIA’s  Short-Term Energy Outlook  (STEO). In February, U.S. crude oil production exceeded that of Saudi Arabia for the first time in more than two decades. In June and August, the United States surpassed Russia in crude oil production for the first time since February 1999. Although EIA does not publish crude oil production forecasts for Russia and Saudi Arabia in STEO, EIA expects that U.S. crude oil production will continue to exceed Russian and Saudi Arabian crude oil production for the remaining months of 2018 and through 2019. About 100,000 to be affected by water cut in Johor on Oct 8

Sunday, 29 Sep 2019 12:36 PM MYT JOHOR BARU: The water crisis in the state continues to worsen with more areas expected to have scheduled water rationing. Johor International Trade, Investment and Utilities Committee chairman Jimmy Puah said beginning Oct 8, about 100,000 people, who get water from the Lebam Dam in Kota Tinggi, would be affected. He added that the areas affected include Bandar Penawar, parts of Kota Tinggi, Pengerang, Tanjung Balau and Teluk Ramunia. "After that we expect scheduled water rationing to hit Mersing soon due to low water levels at the Labung water treatment plant, which will affect about 25,000 people," he said after presenting education grants to 32 people from his constituency here Sunday (Sept 29). However, he added that the date for the water rationing in Mersing has yet to be fixed.
